- The goal of the Foundation (FDBC) is to cultivate, promote and develop – in Romania, the European Union and internationally – the values of science and technical-economic or social progress, of national and universal culture, to contribute to a sustainable economic and social development, especially by promoting clean energy, education, science, efficient and sustainable economy and industry, local, European, regional and global trade.
- Moreover, the objective of the Foundation is to create the framework and adequate conditions for debating ideas, solutions and scenarios by collaboration and cooperation, by realizing connections between scientists and decisional factors, between public/ private entities and large corporations. The objective of the Foundation is to generate public links and stir conceptual debates regarding theoretical and practical problems with a wide impact at the national and international level, social, technical-economic, scientific, philosophical, political, corporate, educational and cultural, especially base on advanced knowledge, without boundaries. At the same time, the is a focus upon the challenges of creating democracy and the rule of law, of attracting human communities in the flow of proposals for building the new culture and civilization by using knowledge and the creative potential at a local, European, regional and global level.
- The proposed goal and objectives shall be realized by FDBC through its own departments, as well as the units it partners with. These entities shall organize, in accordance with the law, activities in the field of economy, production, trade, art, publication, social-cultural, science, education, environmental protection, management, marketing, training, in line with the requirements of sustainable development.
- The Foundation shall focus on activities pertaining to the organization of congresses, conferences, symposia, workshops and exchanges in an interdisciplinary manner, the promotion of eco-technologies, sustainable development, the identification of new ways for energy production and consumption, new energy and mineral resources, as well as renewable and clean energy. The Foundation’s activities include the editing of handbooks, monographs, albums, reviews, magazines, the organization of national and international conferences for the development of the intellectual capital, the promotion of knowledge through research regarding the future development of society. In addition, within FDBC, there function a number of specialized departments (pertaining to industrial production, trade, transport and logistics, telecommunication networks, a publishing house, a printing press, an IT centre, a documentary centre, knowledge centres, consulting units, research institutes and others) which contribute to the main objective of the Foundation.
- Within FDBC there shall be created and function – autonomously or in partnership with universities in Romania and other countries – various academic programs, from a multitude of fields such as qualification and training centres, PhD research, desiring to promote education, science, culture, especially in the field of energy.
- FDBC shall initiate, support and organize research and experiments in the field of education, production, economy, industry, trade, social, science, the major challenges of present society, energy and energy security. Moreover, FDBC shall organize debates referring to the development of civil society, by ensuring the participation of specialists/ representatives of social organizations and professional associations, as well as of governmental and non-governmental organizations (national and international), using knowledge as fundamental resource for development.
